Membership Benefits

Being a member of NNRC entitles you to many benefits. Notable benefits such as reduced race day fees, discounts at JE Spares, input on the development of the track and eligibility to win prizes in the Summer or Winter race series. With NNRC membership costing just £16 per year, the included bonuses are well worth it.

Here’s a full run down of what you get by being a member with NNRC:

  1. Reduced race day fees of £8 per entry.
  2. Eligible to win prizes when racing in either the Summer or Winter series. Prizes are given to the top drivers at the end of each series and can be anything from accessories, gift vouchers, radio gear and radio controlled cars.
  3. Discounts at the track sponsor and Manchester based online model shop JE Spares. Members receive a 5% discount with JE Spares on all products and deals can be done when purchasing radio controlled model kits.
  4. A say in the annual general meeting and any/all other input valued. You can input your thoughts, opinions and ideas to the club which may possibly used to further develop the club. NNRC is a members club and relies on members help to run in the friendly, welcoming and efficient way that it does.
  5. Last but not least, you will be a member of one of the fastest growing and friendliest tracks in the North of England. We take pride on ensuring that you have a fun day with us and enjoy yourself. You will meet new people, have a laugh and learn lots by attending our race meetings and other events. There are always people available at the track for advice or the technicalities involved with racing and radio controlled models. BRCA Membership

To race at NNRC you will require BRCA insurance. This will cover yourself and others for any accidents.

You don’t have to join straight away, you can race twice without insurance and are required to join on or before your third race.

NOTE: Unless you are new to the club you are required to have proof of BRCA membership in order to race at NNRC.

The cost of the BRCA is £14 a year when joining through NNRC, this insurance runs from Jan to Dec each year.

The British Radio Car Association (BRCA) is the UK's governing body for radio controlled model car racing. We oversee all aspects of the sport, from setting construction rules for the different classes, to organising British championship events, to selecting the British team for International competitions. The BRCA works closely with EFRA (the European governing body) and IFMAR (the World governing body) to ensure R/C racing is a sport that can be enjoyed by all nations. We have affiliated clubs all over the United Kingdom where drivers meet to compete in organized events.
